Cooking abroad: Vegetable and beef stew

Cooking abroad: Vegetable and beef stew

This week, I’m going to teach how to make a beef and vegetable stew. Obviously there are hundreds of ways to do such a stew, but this is one of the good ones.

Ingredients

 1/3 cabbage;

 1 leek;

 7 cloves of garlic;

 1 onion;

 7 heads of broccoli;

 1/3 cauliflower;

  500g beef;

  2 chilis;

  4 hot dog sausages [optional – if you want to have more meat in the stew];

  Paprika;

 Oregano;

 Sea salt;

 Black pepper.

 Cooking

Mince the chilis. Cut the beef into small cubes and season them with some paprika, sea salt, black pepper, oregano and the chilis. Put the seasoned meat in the fridge.

Mince the garlic and onion. Chop all of the remaining vegetables. Put a pot at medium heat with some olive oil. When the olive oil is hot, add the garlic and onion.

When the garlic and onion start to get a golden colour, add the remaining vegetables and add water until the water level is just slightly above the vegetables.

Add some salt and black pepper to your liking. Afterwards, add the meat. Cover the pot only lifting the lid occasionally in order to stir. After about 1h30, the stew should be ready.
