Each year, ceremonies, reconstructing of American military camps, historical walks, historical parachuting, exposition and parades of military cars which give rhythm to these commemorations in a spirit of liberty.

This particular year, some events and activities are organized into the Normand Area. There is a book faire entitled « History and Memories » which is settled in Saint Mère Eglise. The interested people and spectators will be able to assist an international walk for peace. They could also, meet German military paratroopers, American soldiers (pilots and paratroopers) inside the city to exchange and discuss.

In Carentan, for the first time since its beginning, at the cinema a Documentary called « D-Day, Normandy 1944 » will be projected in view of immersing in the heart of the event which changed the World 70 years ago. The 6th of June 1944, the hugest Allies intervention of Second World War is operated in Normandy. Exploring history, military strategy, science, technologies and humans values ; this movie told in 5 Chapters pays tribute to women and men who gave their lives for Liberty.
