Have you already thought about studying in France? Of course, you already have if you are French. But as a foreign student, here is some useful information that could help you decide if you want to study in France.

Opportunities:

There are a lot of it, in fact, you have a lot of possibilities. Indeed, in France, there is a very complete choice of studies, whatever is the specialty you want to choose, you have many chances to find the adapted formation. And it is the same for French and foreign students. France really tries to be attractive for foreign students, and to influence them. The language:

There are some possibilities to study in English in France. But if you want to study in French, you will have to take a French language test (DILF, DELF, DALF) in order to be able to study in a French university.

The cost:

Do you want to hear a really good news?! The studies' costs in France are one of the cheapest in the world. And again, it is not different if you are a foreign student. Indeed, the French state takes in charge the biggest part of the tuition fees of the higher education public institution’s formations. Therefore, in 2018 the tuition fees correspond to:

184 € for one year in license degree

256 € for one year in master degree

391 € for one year in doctoral degree

(for the prestigious universities or the private institutions, the cost will be far more expensive)

After that, you have to calculate the general costs of your studies in France, and for that you have to mind about some specific spends. In France, students have a particular status which gives them a lot of advantages, especially for the transport, places to eat, and the hobbies. Nonetheless, for the first month, you will have to provide at least the triple of your monthly budget, to anticipate your installations spends (phone, internet, bail, insurance, social welfare, etc.).

On the other hand, you have to be aware that for getting your visa for studying in France, you have to justify sufficient resources more or less equal at 5000 € per year, so 430 € per month. But this is a minimum, and most of the people will told you that is it not enough, and that ideally you should provide around 800 € per month. And of course, if you want to study

in Paris, you should provide around 1100 € per month (in general, Paris is really expensive, be aware!)

It is also possible to get a scholarship if you are a foreign student. The simplest way to get one is to apply for one in your one country. But it is also possible to get one by the French Education Ministry or even international organizations, like UN, UNESCO etc.

Job:

If you want to increase your earnings, you have the possibilities to do a student job. If you are a European student, you don’t need any working license. But if you’re not, you have to ask for an authorization from your town’s prefecture in France. Legally, you are not allowed to work more than 823 hours per year, so 16 hours per week. Without all the taxes, the French minimum salary is 7.83 € per hour, that is around 500€ per month and around 6400€ per years, if you complete all your working hours.

Avez vous déjà pensé à venir étudier en France ? Bien sûr que vous y avez déjà pensé si vous êtes français. Mais en tant qu’étudiant étrangers. Si oui voici quelques informations qui pourrais vous être utiles pour réaliser votre projet :

Les oportunités:

Il y en a énormément, pour ne pas dire que vous avez possibilités illimitées. En vérité en france, le pannel de formation est très complet, et quel-que soit le domaine dans le quel vous souhaitez vous spécialiser, vous avez toutes les chances de trouver une formation qui vous sera adaptée. Et ce aussi bien pour les étudiant français qu’étrangers. La France a vraiment à coeur d’essayer d’être attractif pour les étudiants étangers, ainsi que de rayonner à l’international. Le fait d’être étragers ne vous dévalorisera donc pas le moins du monde.

La langue:

Il existe en france des opportunités d’études en anglais. Mais si vous souhaiter faire des études en français, il vous faudra passer un test de maîtrise de la langue française (TCF DAP ou CIEP) pour pouvoir être pris dans une université.

Le coût:

Pour commencer, voici une très bonne nouvelle; le coût des études en France est l’un des plus faibles du monde. Et ce que vous soyer français ou étrangers. En effets l’état prend en charge la plus grande partie des frais de scolarité des formations des établissements publics de l’enseignement supérieur. En 2018 le coût de l’enseignement reviend donc à:

184 € pour une année de license

256 € pour ue anneé de master

391 € pour une année en doctorat

(Pour les grandes écoles, ou l’enseignement privé, le coût sera beaucoup plus élevé).

Reste à calculer le coût général de vos études en france, et pour cela il vous faut prendre en compte certaines dépenses. En France les étudiants bénéficient d’un statut bien particulié leurs offrant beaucoup d’avantages, notament sur les transports les loisirs et la restoration. Néanmoins, le premier mois, il vous faudra prévoire au moins le triple de votre budjet mensuel, pour prévoir les dépenses liées à votre installation (téléphone, internet, caution, assurance, sécurité sociale, etc ...)

Par contre, il faut savoir aussi que pour obtenir un visa pour venir étudier en France, il faut justifier vos ressources pour être sûr qu’elles soient suffisantes. Elles sont jugées suffisantes à plus ou moins 5 000 € par ans, se qui revient à 430 € par moi. Mais il sagit d’un minimum, et beaucoup vous dirons que ce n’est pas suffisant. L’idéal se siturait plutôt autour des 800 € voir plus. À noter également que pour Paris il faudrait compter peu ou proue 1 100 € Et oui, même si Paris est la ville étudiante par exelence, tout y est extrèmement chère.

Il est aussi possible d’obtenir une bourse quand on est un étudiant étranger. Le moyen le lus simple d’en obtenir une est de passer par le systeme de bourse de votre propre pays. Job étudiants:

Si vous voulez augmenter vos revenues, vous avez la possibilité de trouver un job étudiant. Si vous êtes un étudiant européen, vous n’avez pas besoin de permis particulié pour travailer. Dans le cas contraire, vous devrez demander une autorisation à la préfecture de votre ville. Légalement, vous ne pouvez pas travailler plus de 823 heures par ans, soit 16 heures par semaines. Sans les taxes, le salaries minimum en France est de 7.83 € par heures, ce qui fait à peut près 500 € par mois, et autours de 6400 € en un ans si vous faites toutes vos heures de travailles.
